Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for making Yourself so obviously present in our lives. Thank You for making Yourself so obviously present in the World. Thank You for choosing me. Thank You for calling me. Grow me daily to be effective for You in this broken world.

Bring me to people I need and to people who need me. Use me daily to encourage others in the faith. Use me to help others surrender their will to You for You to guide their lives, for Your dreams to be fulfilled, which are so much greater than our own. Remove the scales from our eyes. Give us hearts of flesh. Grant that we rely on Your strength and not our own.

Grant that I abide in You today so that You can abide in me. You have the words of eternal life, to whom else would we go? Shine Your light upon my family today and grant that their foundations are built on rock, not sand. Thank You for loving a sinner like me. Protect me today as I walk in the world.

You are the Prince of Peace. Jesus, Amen
