Dear Lord Jesus,

Today I will find the power, through You, to take up the cross today and follow You as I am sent out like a sheep in the midst of wolves. Increase the distance from my old skin as I live my new life transformed by You and into Your likeness. Strengthen my resolve to live as Your disciple, sharing the Good News, and curing the sick in Your Name.

Strengthen my brothers today and encourage the strong brothers to encourage the weak. Lessen the grip on our ego and pride and strengthen our grip on the sword and shield, fasten my sandals and tighten my belt as I walk through the world today.

Let Your light radiate through me and my family today. Let your love and Spirit fill us abundantly. Grant that we are a blessing to all we encounter today and bring us to people we need and to people who need us.

You are my Savior and my Lord, the Bridegroom to all You call the real presence in the Wedding Supper of the Lamb. Amen.
