Dear Lord Jesus,

Have mercy on me, a sinner. Grant me compassion, gentleness, charity, and kindness.

Do not give me what I deserve. Have mercy or me and grant me the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Grant that I sufficiently empty myself each day so that I can receive the gifts of Your spirit and love.

Forgive my lukewarmness. Grant that I am not conformed to this world, but transformed by the renewing of my mind, to understand what is the will of the Father, and what is good, acceptable, and perfect. Loosen my grip on my ego and pride and strengthen my grip on Your sword and shield.

Grant that I walk away from my old skin. Grant that I walk steadily in my new life with christ. Grant me the wisdom to walk in the world and to cast out demons in Your Name. Choose me, work through me, help me deliver lost souls to You. Grant that I rely on Your power, not mine.

Help me Lord Jesus. I place all my trust in You, the word made flesh.
