Dear Lord Jesus,

Grant my service to You today. Grant the conversion of hearts to you. Abide in me today as I abide in you. Work through me today so that you may be glorified. Fill me with the spirit so that it is Your words, not mine, that are spoken today.

Loosen my grip on my ego and pride so that I can be Your vessel and a useful disciple who can help encourage other brothers and build up Your church of believers. Work through me so that the baptized are not conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of their mind, to understand what is the will of God and what is good, acceptable, and perfect.

Grant that I obey Your commandments to love, be full of peace, and not to fear. I will trust in You today. You are my Lord, my king, my savior. Forgive my shortcomings, forgive my lukewarmness, forgive my stubbornness and use me today despite them.

Increase my grip on Your sword and shield and lead me to people I need and to people who need me. I surrender my will to You, Lord Jesus.
