Dear Lord God,

Heal my divided heart so that You have all of it.

You created my heart and yet I keep some of it from You.

In the foolishness of my ego and pride I withhold my heart from You.

Foolishly I consider my own words as wise, twisting Your words to suit me.

I control my own life, living in the darkness, king of my own misery.

Why do I withhold my heart from You, Lord God? You, who knew me in the womb.

Thank You for loving me so much that You turn stone into flesh.

Thank You for loving me so much that You send Your Spirit so that I am born again into a new person, a person that Satan can’t touch; a person full of the fruits of the Spirit.

Grant that I rejoice daily in what You have done for the lowly such as me, Lord Jesus, King of endless glory,
