Dear Lord God,

As the world awakes today and finds the evil one busy at work, please forgive all who are persecuting our brothers and sisters. Open their heart and eyes to the message of the gospel and bend their knees to Lord Jesus.

Grant that all brothers and sisters love and encourage each other and increase their surrender to Your will. Guide us, shape us, form us. Increase my grip on Your sword and shield and loosen my grip on my ego and pride.

Grant that I lay my ego and pride at the foot of the cross. Grant that I continue to walk away from my old skin and into a life transformed by Christ Jesus. Grant that I empty myself sufficiently so that I can receive a full measure of Your Spirit and receive the gifts of peace, love, joy, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control.

Lead me to people I need today, and to people who need me. Grant that I know everything that comes my way today is a gift and blessing from You. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Waymaker,
