Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your profound suffering that You endured for me, subjecting Yourself to the evil of man and all the torment that we are capable of when we allow the evil one to control us.

Thank You for the price You paid for me. Grant me a poverty of Spirit, suffering, sacrifice, and obedience to You so that I can effectively empty myself so that my heart is completely handed to You so that You can turn it into a heart of flesh.

Remove my ego and pride and replace it with courage, conviction, and boldness to grow disciples and be transformed into Your likeness.

There is so much evil in this broken world. Take my hand and guide me as I walk in the power of Your name through the valley of the shadow of death, my Lord, my Savior, Prince of Peace, Emmanuel, my Good Shepherd, the Alpha and the Omega, Amen.
