Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for the ways that You are present in our lives. Thank You for the ways that You speak to us. Thank You for the excitement and joy of hearing Your word. Grant me the conviction to be a doer of the word.

Forgive my lack of faith to step boldly into what I hear You say.

Forgive my fear. Forgive my proclivity to want to do things my way.

Forgive how I walk past the doors You are opening and try to open doors that You are closing.

Grant that I am an effective servant today. You are with me. You are for me. Lead me to people that I need and to people who need me. Amen.
