“For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to set us free. Grant that we do not reject this gift, preferring the slavery of our desires and our flesh.

Grant that we prefer the light to the darkness. Grant that we are able to shake free of the yoke that clouds our eyes and filters our hearing.

Forgive our penchant for murder, death, and revenge; forgetting that we should pursue peace in the name of Jesus.

Forgive our thinking higher of ourselves than we ought.

Thank You for how you order all things and forgive that we often forget and ignore that; preferring our wisdom to Yours.

Thank you for how You will guide my steps today, leading me to people that I need and to people who need me in the name of Jesus, amen.
