Dear Father,

Thank You for everything You do for us. Thank You for Your love and for sending Your son to be the Light of this world. Thank You for eyes that see, ears that hear, a heart of flesh, a soul that obeys, a will that surrenders, a neck not stiff.

Grant that I love Jesus more and more every day. Grant that I walk in the light of Jesus and not in the darkness of the world. I place all my trust in You and Your plans for me and my family. I loosen my grip on my ego and pride. Strengthen my grip on Your sword and shield. Fasten my belt and sandals. Firmly affix my helmet and breastplate.

Lead me to people I need and to people who need me. Make me effective. Work through me, use me, so that Your will be done here on earth. Push me as You see fit to mold me.

Grant that I honor You today with my effort to do Your will and to serve You. Grant that I sufficiently empty myself so that I can be filled with a full measure of Your Spirit.

In the name of the One who heals, who opens eyes, who heals the lame, raises the dead, walks on water, Jesus, My Savior and Lord,
