Dear Lord God,

You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.

In this world of deceit, division, and greed where the evil one busily scatters, thank You Jesus for being the Good Shepherd, the one who brings the flock together. Thank You for the power in Your name. Grant that we call upon it always as God’s chosen people, holy and beloved, clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

Grant that we walk with You daily and always recognize Your voice. Thank You for always answering the door when we knock. Thank You for the mercy You extend to us, as we fall so short of acknowledging what You have done for us in our lives and apologizing for all the times we offend You.

Thank You for guiding us, and thank You for Your graces as we follow.

You are my rock and my redeemer, Amen.
