My Lord Jesus,

You taught us that when tempted by the devil we must live by every word that comes from the mouth of God. You are our Great Light. You light our path through the shadow of darkness. I choose to follow You and be a fisher of men.

Thank You for curing us of every affliction known to man. You are the way, the truth, and the life. When we lean in and abide in You, You faithfully abide in us, where sin cannot enter and our bodies are a living sacrifice. Through You, we have the strength for all things. You never leave us. Grant that I remain focused on You and Your power within me and not on things not from heaven.

Thank you for curing me. Loosen my grip on my ego and pride. Strengthen my grip on Your rod and staff. Affix my armor, gird my loins, fasten my sandals, fashion me worthy to wear Your helmet of salvation. Work through my family today and grant that they are accepting of Your light.

I pray this in Your name, the Word made flesh, My Savior, My Lord Jesus, Amen.
