“And all of you must clothe yourselves with humility in your dealings with one another, for ‘God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’” 1 Peter 5:5

Dear Father God,

Help us understand that friendship with the world is enmity with You.

Help us see that the world celebrates pride, division, confusion, celebrity, boastfulness, con-artists, impostors, deceit, and trust in money.

Thank You for the strength that only comes from You, through Your Son, when we allow the Holy Spirit to come into us, because we have emptied ourselves of our ego and pride.

Thank You for the marvelous fruits of the Holy Spirit and the rod and staff of Jesus, Lord and Savior, as we navigate our daily lives through the valley of the shadow of death, amen.
