“Let us then lay aside the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.” Romans 13:12

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for the free will to choose freedom over bondage, sanctification over humiliating passions, and perfecting over vanity.

Thank You for the power in your name to overcome the evil one and his many minions, which are prevalent everywhere in this broken world, seeking to destroy souls.

Thank You for Your goodness, which covers me like a shield.

Grant that I daily don the full armor of light as one of Your mighty soldiers doing battle with the darkness.

Fill me with Your Spirit so that I effectively wield the sword of your word against the lies Satan has fed the world.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, Amen.
